Maria currently has her books closed to new patients and will be on leave for the remainder of 2024. Our team of neurologist will continue to care for her patients until her return.
Dr Maria Vartanyan is an Australian-trained GP with a special interest in neuro-otology. She spent some years working in the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital Balance Disorders and Ataxia Service and more recently completed her GP training. Her previous training from multiple specialties (ENT, General Practice and Neuro-otology) allows her to care for dizzy patients holistically. Additionally, Maria has been involved in vestibular research both overseas and in Australia.
Maria commenced practice in February 2022 and patients can be referred directly from allied health clinicians.
Services Maria will be offering include:

- assessment of patients with imbalance and dizziness, including videonystagmography (VNG) and the video head impulse test (vHIT).
- treatment of vestibular disorders, including benign positional paroxysmal vertigo, vestibular migraine, Meniere’s disease, vestibular neuritis etc.
- ear suctioning (for wax removal).
